Mike currently serves as the President and CEO of Hedu Consulting.
Prior to starting Hedu Consulting, in 2014 , Mike served in numerous other senior level positions and boards from both within higher education and private industry
At the University of South Florida, Mike served as CEO Innovative Education & System Vice President Information Technology, CIO. In his role at USF, Michael oversaw the system-wide information technology organization, for one of the largest universities in the nation. In addition to his role as CIO, Mike oversaw University College which had responsibility for the University's strategic efforts to ensure student success and program innovation by leading USF distance learning development. University College operated in collaboration with other University academic colleges through market-based programs, full cost recovery, and funded model, with the goal of growing continuing education, compliance and test preparation, conferencing, consulting, workplace-based education, metro initiatives, pre-college, adult completion, and certificate programs in support of life-long learning.
Prior to joining USF, Mike served as the chief information officer for Suffolk University, a nationally recognize prestigious law school. Prior to joining Suffolk Mike began his higher education career as the deputy chief information officer for the University of Southern California where he headed the Universities Information Technology Services Organization.
In private industry, Mike has held both technical and administrative roles of increasing responsibility such as the vice president of information technology for Bausch & Lomb, vice president and chief information officer for Chiron Vision. In addition to Mike’s experience in the technical arena he has served in multi financial roles ranging from, Corporate Controller Beckman Instruments, Plant controller within Xerox and Monsanto Company as well as having spent considerable time within venture capital serving as corporate controller where he oversaw items ranging from due diligence to mergers and acquisitions for small venture capital start-up firms to large multi-million dollar conglomerates.
