Sharon & Michael Pearce

"Sharon R Pearce" currently servers as Vice President Sales and Development and represents a new age breed of dynamic decision-making executives that focus on the alignment and leverage of people, process, and technology within customer and support activities.

Over 25 years of leadership, business development  and consultative experience in higher education, biotech, medical device and pharmaceutical sales, marketing and customer operations including business development,  start ups, mergers, expansions and major process re-engineering at corporate levels.  Client savvy in building relationships and in developing new market channels and partnerships. 

Heavy liaision role and project management with IT organizations to lead business strategy initiatives as well as major responsibilities with call centers, sales administration, compliance and vendor relationship management.   Handle regulated programs for sampling, consignment and SBA as well as manage relationships with strategic accounts,  vendors and consultants. Effective organizational, communication and collaborative skills enable the success of business initiatives to help support growth of businesses in both the academic and business marketplaces.

Mike currently serves as the President and CEO of Hedu Consulting. 

Prior to starting Hedu Consulting, in 2014 , Mike served in numerous other senior level positions and boards from both within higher education and private industry 

At the University of South Florida, Mike served as CEO Innovative Education & System Vice President Information Technology, CIO. In his role at USF, Michael oversaw the system-wide information technology organization, for one of the largest universities in the nation.   In addition to his role as CIO, Mike oversaw University College which had responsibility for the University's strategic efforts to ensure student success and program innovation by leading USF distance learning development. University College operated in collaboration with other University academic colleges through market-based programs, full cost recovery, and funded model, with the goal of growing continuing education, compliance and test preparation, conferencing, consulting, workplace-based education, metro initiatives, pre-college, adult completion, and certificate programs in support of life-long learning.

Prior to joining USF, Mike served as the chief information officer for Suffolk University, a nationally recognize prestigious law school.  Prior to joining Suffolk Mike began his higher education career as the deputy chief information officer for the University of Southern California where he headed the Universities Information Technology Services Organization. 

In private industry, Mike has held both technical and administrative roles of increasing responsibility such as the vice president of information technology for Bausch & Lomb, vice president and chief information officer for Chiron Vision. In addition to Mike’s experience in the technical arena he has served in multi financial roles ranging from, Corporate Controller Beckman Instruments, Plant controller within Xerox and Monsanto Company as well as having spent considerable time within venture capital serving as corporate controller where he oversaw items ranging from due diligence to mergers and acquisitions for small venture capital start-up firms to large multi-million dollar conglomerates.

Our Mission

Hedu was founded in 2014 initially as consulting firm in technology and process improvement with the founders primarily coming from the fortune 100 corporate world where we served at the senior leadership levels.  During our time their we found that so often that individuals and companies often thru out the so called "baby with the bath water" in the search for a new product or a new idea. Setting aside a perfectly good product or item that still had much value in it just to enable the use of a new and better product that might not even be needed at the time.

During our early years we worked with numerous companies and ultimately decided to change the focus of our company and provide products and services that we come across to individuals and companies that might be able to use some of these older items at a loser cost.. So that is exactly what I am doing today. 

You might think it strange that a company founded in  consulting for best practice and technology now moves into selling  products and services.  Especially when you look at the resumes of the two of the original founders who served at C levels in large corporations.  Well a few years ago i  retired and i decided to  refocus the company and today we only focus on providing used equipment and products that still have value in them that can offer individuals opportunities a chance to buy something a bit less pricey that meets their needs. During my years in business I often found that there were many products that were still good but were discarded just because some new came along or someone got tired of the old thing.  It still had a lot of value and in some cases still performed better than then the new item.  So when I retired i decided it might be interesting to and a good way to help people and to also keep myself busy.

So as a veteran who started my career after getting out of the military back in 72, after Vietnam, with virtually no money, and spent the next 40 years in corporate America,  I recognize that not everyone has the money to buy the newest and greatest things so my company just offers some products we know still work solid and can meet individual needs at fair and reasonable prices to fit your budgets..  While our products might be diverse sometimes rest assured they are all rock solid and we ensure they are of good quality to which we clearly explain what you buying for the price. We enjoy what we doing and at the same we get an addition enjoyment from helping individuals find something they want at a good price.  That is why we are always happy to take the time to help you find that something you might be looking for that is unique as we do our journey.  Many of the items we sell are of personal nature and belong to members of our business so we know their quality and value to. Others items we sell we check them well before their ever put on line.
